Abby Trapnell Joins The National Association of Women In Construction Southwest Florida Chapter 297 Board of Directors

The National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC) Southwest Florida Chapter 297 proudly announces the Installation of its 2016-2017 Board of Directors

Fort Myers, Florida – September 12, 2016 – A dynamic group of professionals from different areas within the construction spectrum officially became the 2016-2017 Board of Directors of the Southwest Florida Chapter 297 of the National Association of Women In Construction. Among those added was Larue Pest Management Account Representative Abby Trapnell, who has been an
active member of NAWIC since 2014. The event took place at The Marina at Edison Ford in Fort Myers.

A delightful ceremony began with the Presentation of the
Colors by the honor guard from the Lee County Sheriff’s Department,
followed by the retiring of the 2015-2016 Board of Directors and the
Installation Ceremony of the new 2016-2017 Board of Directors.

Kami
S. Ward, past and current President of the Board shared with the
audience some inspirational words and exciting news for the chapter’s
future. “I am delighted to see how much we have grown and evolved
throughout this past year”. “With these amazing ladies and the
participation of all of our members, I see an even brighter future for
our chapter and for women in construction on a local as well as national
level”.

For the past 34 years, the Southwest Florida Chapter 297
of the National Association of Women In Construction has been a force
committed to strengthening the participation of women in the
construction industry with educational programs and community outreach
events. Our diverse membership comprised of a variety of highly
motivated professionals, business owners and managers of prominent
construction related trades, all sharing the common goal of improving
the opportunities of women interested in growing in the field.

We
hold monthly meetings and get involved on a regular basis in events
that will enhance the quality of life of our loyal membership and for
the past years, the chapter has grown incredible to a point that with
the direction of President Kami S. Ward, the chapter has won national
awards.
