Larue Pest Management, Inc. was founded in 1978, by Larry Ruebeling, to provide pest control and lawn fertilization services to Lehigh Acres. Knowing that the success of his business would be based solely on the long-term satisfaction of his clients, he made it his mission to deliver just that.
In 1992, Larry was joined by his son Keith, who shares his father’s passion for providing outstanding service and results. While the company has grown to offer pest control, lawn care and irrigation services throughout Southwest Florida, it’s important that you know, we’ve never lost that ‘take care of our customers as if they were family’ philosophy.
Our team was outgrowing our location (of 39 years) in Lehigh Acres, when in September of 2017 Hurricane Irma flooded our building. We were forced to relocate to our satellite office off Alico Road while renovations were underway. What could have been a devastating situation, turned out to be a great catalyst for change. In January of 2018 we opened our new corporate office in Fort Myers and our Lehigh location has transformed into a state-of-the-art service center and training facility for our technicians.
We are proud members of our community and have nurtured strong relationships with the following local organizations over the years:
Part of being a pest control company is having the right certifications. Without having properly trained exterminators in your home, the wrong product could be used, and your loved ones could be at risk. Larue Pest Management is QualityPro certified. This certification is the pest management industry's way to protect honest pest control services and our loyal customers. It’s a designation that is achieved by ensuring that all employees voluntarily ascribe to a set of standards far above what is required by state and federal regulations. Reserved exclusively for member companies of the National Pest Management Association, QualityPro companies are a distinguished group that continues to act as leaders and pioneers to better serve consumers across the country. Therefore, it is with great pride that we post our QualityPro logo on our website.
Mike Crews, our general manager, is also a Certified Horticulture Professional through the FNGLA (Florida Nursery Growers and Landscaping Association). This certification program is the industry’s standard for measuring horticulture knowledge on everything from plant and pest identification to landscape management. According to the FNGLA, this certification program promotes professionalism among horticulture professionals, including nursery, greenhouse, landscape, and retail garden center employees. In 2006, the program was updated to integrate principles of the Florida Friendly Green Industry Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) program, and has been endorsed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Keith Ruebling, Larue's owner, says, “This certification is just one more way we can give clients peace of mind knowing that we thoroughly understand their family’s tree, shrub, and lawn care needs.”
